I have worked as a representative of various Maine printing companies for over ten years. I have worked directly with galleries, museums and historical societies to produce full-color exhibit catalogs and brochures. My clients have included The Farnsworth Art Museum and Wyeth Center, Élan Fine Arts, Nan Mulford Gallery, Alan Magee, Jamie Wyeth, Frederick Kellogg, Linden Frederick and the Maine Center for Contemporary Art, as well as prestigious Manhattan galleries such as Forum Gallery, Alan Stone Gallery, Katherina Rich-Perlow Gallery, Jason McCoy Gallery and Leo Kaplan Gallery.

During this experience I became acutely aware of the financial restraints that prohibited most small Maine galleries, museums, and historical societies from being able to produce their own exhibit catalogs or customized museum shop items. Because quantities are typically small, the per-unit cost is often out of range. I founded Custom Museum Publishing LLC in 2005 to specifically address the needs of small galleries, museums and historical societies.

Along with our revolutionary digital printing technology and a state-of-the-art bindery process, I have assembled a full-service team of experts dedicated to providing affordable and elegant printing, publishing and gift shop collectibles, even in small quantities. In addition, I have founded a subsidiary, Custom Books and Board Games, which is the only company of its kind offering, for the first time, the ability for even the smallest museum or historical society to produce customized, full-color educational board games. It’s been wonderful to be able to build a business around the market that I most enjoy, and to be able to fill an important need.
